The ESD routers, switches, and access points that make up the Connectivity Package are mounted out of view, but in close proximity to the wireless readers installed on the equipment. These devices accommodate the wireless data flow to and from the readers and the modem where it then connects to the Internet. The number of access points provided as well as the optimal location will be determined by an ESD engineer after analyzing the location's layout. Power Over Ethernet (POE) cabling, is used to connect each access point to the main router, removing the need to run special electrical cables.
The MasterLink System wirelessly links up to eight CardSlide readers with the MasterLink CardSlide. Check with your ESD sales rep to find out if a connectivity package is needed.
