CONNECTIVITY PACKAGE -
The ESD routers, switches and access points that make up the Connectivity Package are mounted out of view, but in close proximity to the wireless readers installed on the equipment. These devices accommodate the wireless data flow to and from the readers and the modem where it then goes on to the Internet. The number of access points required and their specific location will be determined by ESD engineers after analyzing the customers layout. POE, or power over ethernet cabling, is used to connect each access point to the main router precluding the need to run special electrical service.
