CROSSLINK QUICK LINKS
CUSTOMER & OPERATOR APPEAL
Simple to install and operate, CrossLink brings more payment options to residents – allowing coins and credit/debit cards. In doing so, CrossLink helps laundries retain residents who might otherwise go elsewhere. Simultaneously, laundry operators reduce coin usage and the hassles associated with coin collection. Using an internet enabled device (smartphone, computer, etc...), operators can remotely monitor their laundries, run reports, and track income.
HOW IT WORKS
When a credit or debit card is swiped, the CrossLink CardSlide reads the information and sends the data to a router mounted out of site in the laundry. The router sends the data to a local modem, which is connected to a high-speed Internet line. The modem sends the information to the payment processor where the credit/debit cards are approved or denied. If the customer’s credit card is approved, a small green light on the external card swipe will illuminate. The CardSlide display counts down the proper vend price and a pulse is sent to start the machine. This whole process takes just a few milliseconds to complete. In the event the credit card is denied, that message will be returned and a small red light on the card swipe will illuminate.
